ok?

The news had me spitting last night, apparently public safety is more important than human rights! Eh? The odd thing is whenever people make mind numbingly stupid remarks like that they seem to be caught up in the 'them and 'us', concept. I think it requires people to start understanding that we are 'them' and we are 'us'. I overheard somebody argue that if they were to put the most evil people on an island and blow it up then the world would be a better place (I can't be arsed even getting into *that* argument) they went on to say that even if 10 of the people were innocent then it would still be worth it, would you be saying that if you were one of the innocents on the island, or does it not cross your stupid middle-class, white mans mind that you could be one of them, would your opinions change? Do you need to be in a minority to understand how important it is to constantly monitor human rights. If I hear one more media outlet spin how the ECHR is only used to help criminals and doesn't care about victims, I will start gibbering.

The Cup Final was pretty great yesterday, slightly saddened by the outcome but excellent game in the end and I can't bear Dr Who two-parters especially if I don't know this in advance, I only realised it 10 minutes from the end of last nights show.
