2002-04-10 -- 12:37 a.m. So finally we can stop pretending to give a shit, newsreaders can dress in spring colours and even crack a smile, finally the queen mum is buried, no disrespect to the woman she seemed inoffensive enough but I'm sure her last wish wouldn't have been to have the whole english population of people over 90 to spend the night on London streets to get a decent view of her coffin going past, I wonder how many other old people who also lived through wars we have lost during this period of so called mourning? Watched an excellent football match tonight, the agony and the ecstasy, trite but true, I think I was the only person in the pub rooting for Leverkusen, my flatmate was none too impressed ;) Around dinner time my mum and I went to remove the last bits of my debris from the old flat, I had popped over last Monday night to check for mail and seeing the power had gone out I put in what I thought would be my last ever power card, tonight, exactly one week later I find that the power is all used up, a flat completely unlived in with nothing using electricity except the fridge that I hadn't got round to defrosting yet, that's £5 a week to run a fridge, can someone, anyone, explain that to me? I always felt that I was paying for the entire building to have power and now it seems I have my proof, I will be phoning Scottish Power tomorrow to ask someone their end to make me understand how a fridge can use £5 worth of electricity in one single week. I'll keep you posted on their response. back || forward - 2006-11-01 tired 2006-06-18 - 2006-05-29 - 2006-05-14 - 2006-05-05 www.flickr.com
